Home now... got lots of little nibbles just before dark but couldn't hook them. Got 1 carp after it got dark then decided to head home because the insects were driving us insane. Wasn't very big but quite fat.

Just wondering, has there been any decent trout or reddies coming outta here of late?
I gave it a hiding a few years back, just before it turned into a muddy puddle, and pulled a few reddies out that were 30-35cms long, but I haven't been back for a while. They have been stocking it with browns since 2011, so I'd assume the fish that have lasted this long (if any) should be in good condition by now. Anyone heard anything?

Cheers :)

Fished Pykes a few times chasing those stocked Browns trolling rapala's but no luck. Hoping April-sept bring in better conditions.

Just fished Pykes from around 5:00 until dark, no bites. We were the only ones there. Water is quite low at the moment. Its a shame because around this time last year we were getting 10+ carp per session.

I was at pykes today at 11am, i didn't catch but there were a few older blokes that caught some trout, they were siting there using like a surf rod, some sort of setup that the rod was over the water, using it like a float... but yeah they were catching them.
I've been there heaps over the past 2 months in the arvos after work and haven't caught **** lol
