Yeh Marty you are correct. Spoke to a bloke yesterday who has been getting fish regular on white bait.... Heard of white bait being used at Bullen Merri..and Blue Bait a Hepburn Lagoon... Always like live bait rather than dead bait....

It might be the salt brine that the Whitebait are packed in that forms a sort of berley trail but I will definitely get some for my next trip.anthonydj wrote:Yeh Marty you are correct. Never used live minnows as bait how do get them with a net or bait trap??

Depends on where I am...Bait Trap sometimes, White Bait Net other times and even flatten the barb on a tiny hook and fish for them at other times (by far the most fun)
