Surf at Bunga beach

I fished the Lake Bunga surf beach last Monday afternoon, using Halco chrome "Twisty" lures, 30 gm. Started casting just east of the lake and had 5 salmon on my first 5 casts. The problem was they were all between 20-30 cm long. The school of fish must have been huge, as we caught a fish or had a hit on nearly every cast all the way to the bluff and back. My friend got one about 40 cm, and I one at 45 cm, but they were the only 2 decent fish in a 2 1/2-hour session. It was really great to see so many fish on our local beach, albiet a little on the small size, though for someone looking for a feed, there were plentiful pan size fish among them. We only kept the 2 and released the rest.
