Early morning EPs

Post by Troy McLure » Sat Nov 14, 2020 7:02 pm

Finally got out of quarantine and headed to VB for the weekend with thoughts of chucking lures off the beach in hope of a Salmon or 2. Onshore wind forced me onto the Tarwin for a crack at some Estuary Perch or anything else that happens past. 5 am with a rising tide and little wind as well as having the place to myself and I finally got to cast again in anger. Using a Zman grub in motor oil and it only took 10 casts for my first EP, about 30 cm but I dropped him as I picked him up, 2 more bigger models followed in the next 30 minutes before I had to leave due to mozzies descending in huge numbers. All 3 fish were very aggressive and hit the plastic right at my feet in about a meter of water. I was casting out as far as I could to cover as much ground but they were literally under my feet which is interesting. Would’ve stayed longer but the mozzies were killing me sadly. Great to be back amongst it and will try again tomorrow.

I usually have aerogard but it was empty. I’ll give bushman stuff a go. Cheers.
