powlett river

hi guys going to powlett river today wondering if anyone has been their recently will be fishing around the mouth so prob try some sps anyone know what the best bait is i do have a bait pump

Small raw peeled prawn with running sinker or small piece of raw chicken breast. For breams/mullet. Might be flathead too. Or bluebait on the surf. Sandworm, pipis, yabbies.

in the powlett i caught a few bream on pipis got one giant bite saw a school of mullet the entry was closed so i fished at the car park near two steel pylons i also went off the small jetty next to the bridge to phillip island and caught a few wrasse one about 37 cms i kept him and i am about to eat him the current was really strong i hand like 7 sinkers on just to hit the bottom 10 - 20 metres away was fun though

probs just batter them and cook them on the bbq
