The low moves north past Lakes

Post by re-tyred » Sat May 12, 2018 1:30 am

Currently 50knts from the south east and 8 meter swell.
Not been a huge amount of rain. 20mm so far.
We have one cafe blind on the roof and it can stay there till daylight. Cant see much other damage.
The low is now centred just offshore of Southern NSW and moving north wards .
You can see it rotating nicely on the satellite image.
This will be a good test of the Eastern rockwall at the entrance.

I think the worst of the wind is east of us

There's nothing . . . absolutely nothing . . . half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats.

The big peak is a data anomaly or the buoy got its head in a spin due to the beating it is getting

Don't know mate, but there was a big wave recorded at the heads yesterday apparently.
However, that was on Facebook, so who knows.

Well secure that sun blind, at present Melbourne's got the wind again and drizzle.
It's a 50/50 bet it either hits Stratford and up and over the range or rattles your windows again in the morning.
