Some nice mixed bag of fish there pat, your keen driving all that way on your own.
Personally would have tried some blades this time of the year, but its good you still got them on hards.

Thanks Steve, I don't mind the long drives. After driving to Townsville half a dozen times over the last couple of years east gippy doesn't seem too bad. This spot is really shallow, I can see the bottom 90% of the time and am generally only fishing about 1m of water, so I didn't see too much of an advantage tossing blades. That's why I like it - hards all year round!

Makes sense then for sure.
i prefer to fish hards than anything else, but i just dont get out enough to use them to full extent.
maybe i should start chasing those pesky pinkies on hards
