Wow, nice fish. Good size. Well done. Thought the big sambos are around only in colder months.

Re: Ocean grange
And the warmer weather and water make it easier i bet. Bearing cold water and wind, wading waist deep is definitely harder.Lightningx wrote: ↑Sun Feb 10, 2019 9:21 pmI tend to find I encounter more in the colder months mate but you still get them in the warmer ones as well

Early morning and late arvo are usually prime time for sambo’s and probably either side of high tide would be best times but I never worry about tides always seem to catch them any way I mainly use them for bait fishing for gumbos the big ones I take home for the old girl.Seb85 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 7:28 amHigh tide day time? All ways fishin wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 7:18 amThere usually there all year round I find you get bigger ones more over summer during the day and the smaller ones early morning and late evening

Re: Ocean grange
Got a nice one similar size last weekend a bit further up at steamers landing.
Young fella from work got a good gummie to on a squid bait he paddled out on a kayak.
We tried for a large shark with no success...will give it another go in the next few weeks.
