Gummys at last

Post by cameronpatrol » Thu Mar 13, 2014 4:12 pm

G,day all
Headed out from sorrento yesterday arvo, we had a quick troll and flick for some salmon but didnt have any luck.
Then we headed to a spot for some squid, I got a nice sized one and then dropped a good one at the boat.
Well at least we had one bit of fresh bait to go with a frozen Trev.
We thought its time to try a new spot and having a look on the Navionics app my mate got the other day we found a channel.
With a few runs up and down looking at the fishing finder we dropped the pick and baited up the rods.
I had started rigging up my second rod and me mates rod started taking off.
We were both yelling Banjo lol
Once he'd got it up to the surface I leaped for the net and scooped it up quick smart.
I was still rigging up my second rod and mine took off.
Same again I thought it was another stickin banjo as thats all weve got for the last 10 trips.
But with some luck there was another gumbo.
And mine was bigger lol
so two gumbo in half an hour, we were over the moon.
Both were taken on the frozen trev.
Id put the squid head on my other rod and didnt have any luck, only got a fat arse banjo.
Good times
Cheers cam
