Fishing Rye Pier 28/02/2014

Post by szero25 » Mon Mar 03, 2014 2:31 pm

Hi all,
Went fishing on Friday night with my Girl Friend at Rye Pier, plenty of Calamari around at change of tide and light roughly 1930 onwards, My Girlfriend caught two Calamari on squid jigs, also a small cod, wrass, and leather jacket on feather jigs.

I caught about 3 pinkies all too small on gar fish, also drifted a bait out to the channel after dark, something tore the head of the bait, but left the rest which makes me think it may have been the local seal.

Good fishing in all something bigger would have been nice, pier gets really windy would be interested to drift some baits towards the channel at a later date.
