BBQ & Fishing trip to Sorrento/Portsea

Post by kenshinnn » Fri Jan 24, 2014 10:32 am

Hi Everyone,

I'm planning a trip to Sorrento/Portsea this weekend (this will be the first time going there for me). Just want to take my little siblings out before holiday ends. Prob be 2.5hrs drive.
Been searching around on the internet for BBQ places and places to fish there but thought members here will have a better idea.

Can you guys please give me recommendatiions of where to have a BBQ before we start fishing. Any nice bbq spot with great views(near the beach)

Also where should i fish around the area. My little siblings never fish before. So really i just want to catch what ever (bigger the better :-D), so they can have the feeling of reeling in a fish and hopefully get them into fishing in the future.
Also i really really want to catch some crabs for a feed.

Hope you guys can help me :)

Thanks everyones
ken.

Next door to the portsea pub is a nice little park, a pier and a BBQ.

For fishing i'd head to sorrento pier.

For the kids, sorrento pier. Little bit if tuna oil and bran will bring swarms of smaller fish that will keep the kids entertained
