Rosebud??
Hi all, im heading down to rosebud in a week or two and just wondering what i can fish for down there and where??
Ive fished gunnamatta a few times but from what ive seen/read thats a bit quiet now.
Also ive fished the pier but only seem to ever catch banjo sharks. I was just using a paternoster rig with a half a pilly on it should i use something else? I noticed a lot of tbe old bloked down there in summer use small rigs with floats and glow sticks.
Anyway any tips or ideas would be muchly appreciated. Thanks

Re: Rosebud??
You could head down to portsea and sorrento piers, some big squid being caught there at the moment.
The old blokes are fishing for gars or tommies that can turn up in large numbers down that way at times.

Re: Rosebud??
Wade and chuck a softie out, blairgowrie area is very good. Be down there for dawn, 'cos as soon as the sun is up, they're moving off deeper. Sorrento pier, just look for the sand patches, again, sp, or drift a pillie fillet down lightly weighted...Raulfc7 wrote:What's the best way to hit them Carl?
