Hey guys,

Looking at going out near rye for the first time with my boat, just wondering if you guys had any tips for me going out at rye on what I should target and any tips or hints?

Hope I catch something hehe.

Cheers

It's a great area to fish when the weather is good. There are heaps of shallow water around Rye with weed beds perfect for squid and whiting. The south channel fort where the seals hang out on always produces.

Cheers, Anth

With the squid you shouldn't have a problem, the whiting on the other hand.. might be a bit harder to find. Lets us know how you go anyway.

Schools of salmon should be around and you may get a whiting or two here and there. pinkies and flatties are always around.

If its your first time in the area though maybe just go for some squid and have a snoop around for next time once the water warms up.
