I decided to head down to BG today with light wind forecasted and high tide closer to 8am. Arriving around 5:45 amto a 10-12knt Northerly wind made it interesting but nonetheless I got on with chasing the squid. Not much happened the first 20 minutes but after day break I managed four small squid in quick succession. And dropped anotherwhilst hoisting it up. Top jig was a self developed 'Rui' jig in size 3.0 gold. After dawn I hooked onto a much better model of 30cm hood length which fell to a Yamishita jig.
I moved around to the deeper end of the marina where I snagged another amongst others going for fish. Not long later my last squid came from underneath the light pole in the middle which made for relativrel easy pickings. Ended with seven in about a 2hr session, weather turned out good by that time (8am).

It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

That's a nice bag well done
