Thanks Trumpeter will definetly try that. Bar I was only down there for just over an hour and there was no action while I was there. I haven't heard too much from the locals down my way don't think they have come past yet but could be wrong...

Nice work on the first whiting Steve! I've been hearing that area has been going well with big whiting not sure if they meant boat or land based tho but Sorrento seems to be the better pier down that way..

I normally fish Sorrento Pier and haven't had a lot of luck lately besides the squid a few weeks back. I've never been to the marina since its been expanded so thought it was about time to give it ago. Whenever I'm at Sorrento can guarantee you around last light half hour each side the pinkies come on but still haven't managed a keeper as they are all undersized so was getting fed up with them. I've been really lazy with fishing lately and haven't been out much. Guess I take it for granted that Sorrento Pier is only a 5 min walk from home :)

Nice and close to home, at least you don't have to worry about a long drive home with no fish lol

Thats right buckle. The misses is used to me coming home empty handed so when I told her that I'm cooking the whiting up for myself and she can have some 2 min noodles dont think she was overly happy :P

Thanks Lightning its been a long time coming thats for sure.

Nice KGW :fish22:
I've done relatively good with the squid down there the last few trips. I managed to hook up and get up an octopus of around 2kg about 2 weeks back but he escaped as quick as quick as I put him on the landing lol
