Banjos
Lucky enough to get a day off and spend the day on the bay. Moved around a bit between Rye and South of Blairgowrie at different depths. Got some nice flatties and KGW but banjos destroyed the fun. Must have dragged in 20 today.... Carp of the sea

The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad

Re: Banjos
Has anyone here actually tried eating one? Ive never tried one based on the fact that everyone says they arent any good, but I have had a couple of people say the opposite recently. Im considering giving one a crack next time I get a real big one (5kg+)

Re: Banjos
A mate of mine sometimes takes one home for the outlaws, and tells them its flake. They don't seem to notice the difference...lol.

Re: Banjos
I have, but when I caught it I had no idea about sharks and ammonia and how you're supposed to bleed them. Needless to say it tasted pretty bad. If I catch another big one I might give it another go.Scraglor wrote:Has anyone here actually tried eating one? Re: Banjos
As long as you are fishing with baits on the bottom there will always be banjos. As Cam said if thats all you have to complain about you had a pretty good day! Ps well done on the flatties and tings
