Portsea pier
Had a quick session on the pier this afternoon. Caught a couple of very big banjos, one nudging 9kgs. Highlight was my dad hooking a big stinger and being towed through 30 other fishers lines. 20lb braid makes a big mess when attached to a 100kg stinger. Needless to say the fish won but the old man had a huge grin. Biggest thing he's ever hooked. Other than us only saw a couple of squid caught.
Cast, catch and put it back

Re: Portsea pier
I've caught many a banjo from there. At one stage we used to go there every weekend and catch them loll. I've also landed a massive port Jackson shark there and had to walk it all the way down the beach. Which had the summer time swimmers walking on water to get outta the way loll..
Cheers
