Heading out to Sorrento for some late night fishing

Post by kitchenwench » Fri Nov 07, 2014 11:05 am

Hi everyone!

Finishing work at 7pm tonight so the mister and I are wanting to head down Sorrento way for some photography at the back beach. Begged him to take the rods as well since we haven't been in a while. Would love some suggestions of any good piers to try (and what bait to use) when we get down there :)

Thanks all! :)

Fish the main pier, the one where the ferry docks up. Fish the left hand side seeward corner, just flick your baits out. All my biggest fish there have been within 15mtrs of the pier structure.

I fished at Portsea yesterday, but am guessing Sorrento will be similar...have some #3,4&5 sinkers on hand as the current can run pretty strong.

heard most of the piers that way are producing squid, would bring a few squid jigs and jig while you fish.....you can also pier hop from portsea all the way back to mornington.
