Portsea pier 6/11

Post by kaotay » Thu Nov 06, 2014 4:31 pm

Fished the noon high tide at Portsea today, set up a couple of bait rods with 1/0 circles and squid baits, then tried for squid and got my PB cala on the first cast - 26cm hood.

After that it was non stop bites on the bait rods, unfortunately no keepers - a draughtsboard shark, a banjo and something else that busted me off (felt like another draughtsboard shark).

Elsewhere on the pier gars and squid were caught. And more banjos and draughtsboards. Still, a fun 2hr session for me as I don't normally target squid fishing LB in north PPB.
