A serious cuttlefish down there on the pier at about 11am today.

One old dude had almost a dozen lines in the water. Whispered in his ear I thought I saw fisheries pull up in the carpark, should have seen the speed he took off with.

Nice session mate, those trevally go really hard for little fish. Mind me asking about technique for the trevs?

Trevally are one the best fighting fish for their size. They love plastics and are really easy to catch if they are around.
Dougie - next time you see that guy there throw him overboard. People shouldn't be so greedy. Was he at the end of the pier?

No way mate, me throwing an old bloke overboard? I'd end up in prison for 20 years. Funnier to watch him scramble about then think about his thought process when he gets to the carpark and realises he's been had.

Nothing pisses me off more than greedy arrogant people who not only know they're breaking the law but are also taking up 50m of pier for themselves. I very very rarely set foot on a pier for this exact reason, it's probably a good thing Cara was with me or I would have shouted at the dude. Give me a deserted surf beach or a rock ledge any day.

Trevs are good eating and pretty good as sashimi.

I wouldn't waste them for burly.
