suggestions please

I have to go to a funeral in rye on wed I think it will be a bad look if I turn up towing the boat, any suggestions for a spot to fish land based. Living in the west I have never fished land based that side of the bay.
Cheers

Do you want the bay or the surf?

The wind forecast is terrible. I would just give one of the many piers a go.

If you can deal with getting wet you're a chance at snapper at Martha.

Agree with fishingvic. As Dougie Said Martha is probably a good bet but may be a bit tough based on current forecast (regulars may be able to assist more). I know there has been schools of salmon swimming up and down that coast so sunset at one of the piers might be the best idea..

With that gale like north westerly I would be heading more towards westernport - flinders, somers, balnarring etc which the wind would be behind you.

Looking at the forecast, it would be really, really uncomfortable to be out in the bay in a boat, so land based would be the way to go.

The onshore wind will make casting hard and you'll get wet on almost all of the rock platforms. There are a couple that might be up above the white water. PM me if you want exact locations.

Find a Boat Dealership or something down there, take the boat, leave it at the dealership during the funeral. :)
