the wake looks good to me with the wind forecast but i would try portsea ,sorrento or rye piers for squid

Maybe throw in the light gear and head inland and tackle some trout in the creeks. I can not remember the name of the creek I used to fish but it is North of Rosebud I believe. Crossing into Private Property can be an issue however. Should get you out of the wind and weather though.

Rye pier, close and should fish well.

rye pier probably your best bet. salmon, pinkies and maybe a flathead or whiting if your lucky

Honestly mate if I were in your shoes I'd go to the funeral. Have a few froffies etc into the night. Forget fishing. The wind will make fishing impossible in ppb. Short of doing a land based session off merricks/shoreham area trying for a gummy there will be bugger all happening down in westernport. Could head to flinders but my experience is that wind chop really stuffs up the squid fishing. Personally i'd forget about having a fish down that way this week. Won't be worth your while.

yep, a couple or a few froffies is your best option !


on the other hand, if the weather was good !
take the boat and be sure to park it in a side street while your at the funeral !
