i dont want to burst your bubble.
But please adhere to the rules of the new lockdowns and avoid travelling too far away from where you live to go fishing, in case you cop a fine.
i admire your persistence, so keep at it, you will strike gold eventually. Most of us started the same way, i remember when i started fishing here years ago i went to catch wrasse cause that was the most guranteed catch for a newbie.
good luck and tight lines.
cheers

Thanks I live in Frankston and I’m not sure but is it to far to travel there because as you probs know you can’t really fish any of the piers near here because they are all
Over crowded and no one is obeying social distancing so I would rather go further where people are obeying social distancing the stay where people arent

I live in metropolitan Melbourne and it says you can go fishing anywhere as long as it’s in metropolitan Melbourne

Too late, perhaps, but flick plastics (and jigs, I've heard) in that part where the ferry docks. Current is a *****, though.

EDIT

If you're in Metro Melb -- and Franghanistan is part of Metro Melb -- you can travel anywhere in Metro Melb to fish. Obviously, a 'hot spot' suburb is a **** idea. And, obviously, you maintain social distancing -- so no gathering the clan of 600 and harassing the crab population of Rye, for instance.

Hopefully our local pier is reopened soon. As a spectator, at least, I'm a fan of the design. Midweek -- pre-apocalypse -- it was always my go-to, purely as I was too lazy to travel further afield and it was rare to see it overrun (the recent garfish madness changed that).
