Catching Squids at Queenscliff Pier

Hi Everyone,
Planning to go to Queenscliff Pier 2morrow evening/night to catach squids for the first time hoping to catch a few.
Anyone caught squids there of late? and is the pier lit at night? What jig size & colour is best?
A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work.
