went to portsea today fished for about 6 and a half hours not a single touch swapped jigs so many times and i still couldnt even get a hit. Cheers Matari

same at Mornington the squid would not hit anything 20 people fishing 3 squids caught but sometimes at Mornington you get a couple of quiet days you get a crazy day

Was there anything in particular that may have put them off? As in were conditions (water clarity etc) woeful? I think it is a big call to say it is pointless going there unless there is some long term diabolical thing going on...like a radiation leak from a nuclear reactor!

If I was going to give up on my spots because of a long donut session, I would have nowhere left to go! Just keep trying, elsewhere would be an obvious choice but don't give up that easy.

water clarity was super clear, calm water. i did fish the run in might've put them off but i've never had a session there without getting one!

It was slow going for us yesterday to, we got 7 but it took 5hrs and we were in a boat, maybe too calm and too sunny?

Was odd last two days...i found bugger all squid betweem wedge n long reef...
But heaps just out from werribee.
Think there have been odd n big tides last few days...

Very interesting. I was out yesterday giving it a crack at the squid at a known spot I usually always do well and didn’t get any either...

Sometimes what seems to be a barren area can turn alive in a matter of minutes. If your not willing to be occasionally disappointed fishing isn’t for you.

Yea I was expecting the pier broken in half or something like that.
Sounds like slow fishing everywhere yesterday.
There was a lot of people fishing in Gunnamatta beach and only a handful of fish caught.
