What Shimano sephia colours to get?

Post by Jucfishing » Sat Feb 09, 2019 3:12 pm

Hi everyone,
Over the course of this summer my squid jig supply has been depleted and I’m looking to buy a few Shimano sephia jigs but I’m unsure on what colours to buy. I was thinking of getting white, KG whiting, Mango prawn and Pink prawn. Any suggestions??

Ive fished fairly extensively for squid for a very long time and caught many, many squid over the years using many brands and usually my number 1 go to jig is the natural brown/red,especially used on the sleeper rod. It really brightens up in the water and the squid love them

G'day Jucfishing

I find that the blue does well getting the squid

But I always seem to get double the amount of squid with the red

Has anyone tried or prefers the rattle variety.

I had two (yes, had , , , , taken by the Reef as Reef Tax), which I found to be ok but a mate raves about them and swears that they are the Bee's Knees.

Could it also be that "the more you believe a Jig would work", the more effort you put in and the more time using it, which would bring results on just the effort and maybe not the actual jig?
