Squid Info-Queenscliff

Post by denis barden » Mon Aug 27, 2018 6:51 pm

Talked to the son of a Pro Fisherman this morning and he advised me that Squid at Queenscliff arnt eating near thair eggs -they are protecting them.
I think he is correct as the 4 days Ive fished there I hit my GPS spot-Squid there ,but when you move more than 5 meteres from the spot nothing .
The last 10 I got there was 3 double headers-Using floats and White Jigs
So if you hitting Queenscliff for Squid ,fish the spot and stay there as you have probably found a patch of eggs

You would be right there, this time of year they are protecting the eggs which makes them hit the jigs with alot of venom, giving great hookups
