Should always flower before you either dip in beer batter or egg mix.
Helps everything stick

Thanks for the tip michael. Ill try that trick next time with the corn flour.
I don't use egg bath. Maybe that's why. I just mix plain flour and the seasoning together and roll the squid in them but they don't stick properly for some reason.

thanks that was a good job in the way of duties but frustrating, but wasnt happy, they say they want best practice and ensure we follow policies but when i reported someone for breaching 5 policies in 15 mins when i arrived early rid of me.
looks like they just want to bury there heads and denie it ever happening.
now i work the 2 agency jobs and much happier but work just isnt as regular but much less stressful and no one breaches policy's. lol

Yep need a full time job but can just plot along with the agency.
Gives me more flexibility while my dads sick also.
Certainly mate. A full time job defenitely helps specially when you have young ones.

Corn flour works best IMO. If you dust em in corn flour. Dip em in some beaten egg then into your seasoning you’ll have a much better success rate. It will be completely different next time.

I find Panko crumbs to be the best for squid. But you can stick with your flour and seasoning mix. Just don’t use cornflour for the main bit.

Thanks mate. This is lemon pepper not salt and pepper i prefer the lemon pepper to salt and pepper calamari.
I also get it from coles. Masterfood make them and can find it in the spice rack section
