Squid - Blackrock

Post by yepi'mon » Thu Nov 24, 2016 10:24 pm

Hi Guys

Thinking that next time I launch from Black Rock I am going to leave a few hours earlier and try for some squid for both eating and bait purposes!

I've never had a go at the species in this area, is it worth having a go? and if so any idea of where to hunt....?

For now I am thinking of drifting from BR to Ricketts point in close and seeing what I can come up with.....

Thanks guys,

* Should say I am also happy to go for a 10-20 minute cruise if there is a better hunting ground close by....

Had a quick half hour try straight out from black rock along the beach but no luck..... and the idea of snapper was just to strong so we called it quits and went for the big boys! Ended up pulling in 5 fish that we were happy with so the night was a success!
