Berley For Squid

Has anybody berlyed for Squid?
If so what did you use?
I used Mussels and Mussle shells ,Got 10 up to 1.5kg

I don't believe the squid themselves are attracted to berley but you may be attracting fish of the size the squid like to eat and by consequence, the squid. Good catch all the same. I usually drift for squid so I don't berley but I imagine it could work when at anchor.

Correct, squid can't smell, so unless they can taste the berley, it does nothing to attract them.

This is my set up i use 2 when Fushin
They seem to work a treat

Ill think ill still throw some Mussels around to attract the other Fush

I think you can berley for squid I mostly drift and work my jigs. But when fishing for whiting i always have a jig out under a float. The japs make squid attractant sprays both smell and colour.

Agree with this wholeheartedly. Some squid "pro's" say burley is a waste of time. But burley definitely fires up other fish and I believe you're likely to attract squid as they are chasing their own food.
