St Leonard's firing

Post by BIG GAV » Sun Oct 09, 2016 8:26 am

Had a trip to Barwon heads this weekend for a squid comp! Boats scattered the area with some fishing queenscliff some Clifton springs and st Leonard's. me n a mate did well last year at st Leonard's so decided to have a go there if it wasn't a goer we'd head over to queenscliff.

Launched at 6 and Richard had his bag by 8am I threw back a few smaller ones n made up a nice bag by 9:30 bagging out on a very nice 1.4kg thumper! Richard got lined up nicely before netting the squid n copped a very accuarate head shot which made for a good laugh!

Once we had our bags headed to the whiting grounds and struggled to get a few

Everybody had something to weigh in with most getting there bag! Biggest squid weighed in was 1.7kg but I had heaviest bag being 5.6kg!

Today is not agoer! But I got plenty of bait for snapper season!
