Hi Mic, depends on what the wind strength is going to be. If it stays around the 25 to 30 knots SW I would advise against it if you are talking about Martha rocks... :cheers:Mic.kate wrote:Hi guys,
I'm relatively new to this but I was hoping to head the the martha rocks tomorrow morning.
Would this be a good time to do so?

Re: Mt Martha report
Hi Mic, just to show you what you will be up against when choppy at Martha rocks. First 2 pics around 30 knots, i didn't fish for long too hard to feel a bite or hold a tight line.
Last 2 pics around 20 knots which is much better conditions to fish in...
30 knots..
20 knots
Good luck...

Thanks Carl I'll remember that one. :thumbsup:CarlG wrote:Nice work FM...salmon have a relatively soft mouth, if you really force them hard, you can enlarge the hook hole and make escape easier for them. Don't get stressed about it, we all lose plenty of salmon even on the beach right in front of you...thats why I love fishing for them, they fight to the bitter bloody end..
