Good evening all,

I'm heading to Mornington Pier tomorrow morning and was wondering if anyone knows where to buy a pack of silverfish for bait? I have called a few tackleshops today and no one has any. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Daniel

Any tackle shop should do it. I've been to a very big one that has a small frozen bait refrigerator. I'm not sure if they sell them there. However, the second time I went to Mornington Pier, I went to Anaconda. All bait was on a major discount. Try there, or BCF as an alternative. But, don't be confused with the BCF in Mornington. I'm talking about the BCF in Frankston (which is nearby Morningtion). Anaconda and BCF are in Frankston and they're right next to each other. All the best!

I’m not sure where you are based mate but I used to get mine from a servo on Bay Street in port Melbourne.

The Caltex servo next to peninsula surf on nepean hwy in mornington. The BP on the corner opposite Monash uni in Frankston. Gone fishin on Lathams road in Carrum Downs

Might be a silly question, but, is silverfish the same as whitebait???
Can't seem to get "salted" whitebait anymore (tasty on a salada)

silverfish is hard to get now because of disease abit like the prawn thing gotcha baits use to sell the best but can no longer sell them seaford baits are the only guys that can supply tackle shops etc but value for money there crap .I just use maggot,s now i,m sure you can buy the silver fish from springvale market

Mortamers Service Station Drysdale sells these guys for $5.50 per pack.

Fished Sat and Sun morn at StLeonards Harbour for 22 Gars on these guys
