Mornington Snapper Point

Post by shooto » Sun Nov 25, 2012 12:38 am

Here is my first report

I finally got organized and hit the water Thursday evening 22/11.
Location snapper point rocks Mornington.
Fished between 7.15pm-9.15.
I tried a lot of different baits but no luck.
Only thing to report is that i had one big bite when i used a piece of fresh whiting, and i thought it might come back for seconds but no luck.
I really was optimistic about a good session but ended being very quite.
It was a perfect weather and conditions for fishing and a great evening.
I ended up feeding the fish, seagulls and feeding myself with la pochetta pizza.

Anyway take it easy to all.

Shooto I feel your pain bruv... My partner and I were at Mornington this weekend targeting Snapper...pfft no show just a bite off on the surf rod using Silver whiting aswell. Ended up bagging out on squid and one Salmon (40cm) safe to say they were in our bellies within an hour of arriving home.

Even ballooned out on Sunday for a few hours with no luck :(

It has been exceptionally quiet at Mornington lately the squid have only just come on very puzzling last year this time it was great... might have to give it a few weeks.
