nah all i do is pull head off chuck it aside for bait than cut 1/2 a inch off the top of the hood. drag it in the wash for making sure it rotates squid come up skinned ink free gutted everything.

Ok. This has got my attention. How long do you normally need to drag it in the wash for to clean them up

5mins or so does it. google hook line and sinker squid cleaning
