I've taken to only visiting Mornington when I'm sure to find it mostly-empty. I'm a teacher, so school holidays are good -- I'll wake up at a civilised hour and, being a not-so-closeted bream guy, will grab coffee and breakfast before making my way down to the pier. But Friday, Saturday night? Forget it. Although I did visit at 5AM last Friday -- I couldn't sleep, so I decided to throw some jigs off the pier. Good session, although I was surprised that I was far from the only one on the pier.

It’s great that we live in a progressive society where people can be open about who they are

Whats the problem?

I see a bunch of people fishing catching one of the most sustainable species available.

What else did people expect with the target 1 Mil plan?

I actually dont' mind them being there, it means they aren't where I'm fishing. There is a nearby ledge from which I landed 9 squid in 20 minute on saturday night, with a 3.5 glow yama tied on to my 24kg kingie gear ( was the only rod I had with me).

Insane to even try and fish at morno jetty when it's like that, just go somewhere else.
