Weekend Report 3

Post by purple5ive » Mon Feb 19, 2018 8:20 pm

Quick report from mornington.
took dad out for a change from chasing bream (only caue my mates cancelled on bream trip, Pricks)
the pinkies have started to come in, and so have the flathead.
Spoke to a boatie at the ramp who said a diver told him theres quite a few pinkies, flathead and salmon around the area.
we got into a few and spent a good 4 hours on the water.
dad kept getting all the small fish on bait, but the plastics were certainly getting the bigger fish.
Highkight od the day was one pinkie which decided to grab dads rod while he was helping to take a pic. lucky i seen it and grabbed it, otherwise it was well and truly on its way to the drink.

Ended up with 5 keeper pinkies and 6 keeper flathead and lots of just undersized fish as well
Here's one pic. I cbf resizing other ones.

Cheers lads.
Yes always good when the fish are co-operating, was a fish a cast for a while on the flathead landing about 5 in a row all being around the 45cm mark, and the 3 in the pic came one after the other as well.
