Hi guys does anyone know the rough depth about 200m off mornington pier. Going to try a balloon float that dangles bait just at bottom.

There's a fair bit of boat traffic there, it doesn't seem like the smartest place to have 200m of line drifting around just below the surface.

Depending on exactly where you are it varies from roughly 6m down to 12m. Like 4litres said though, boats and jetskis will run over your line quick smart

I gone clise to the peir to have a look after they did the renovation to it and all depends which way you float your baits. Average is about 12mt but if you go strait offthe end your lines will be cut by boaters amd unhappy captain

Watch Winga's video on youtube, he does it on morno pier, pick a day where boat traffic wont be a thing, with the shitty weather here it'd be a good time to do it
