Yeah I did the same. Got wicked park thought looked promising then checked it out before getting out my gear. Ended up at flinders lol

haha, yeah i was there easter saturday... i probably should have gone to flinders but we drove down to dromana had a quick fish had no luck and drove all the way upto brighton for even less luck.. .lol
mornington was just wayyy too packed, might drive down on a week day and see if its not so crowded..

Was there last week. Ended up at hastings. Way too many people. The sign out front says repairs completed march 2015. Doesn't even look like much work has been done.

Even on weekday nights it can get extremely packed. Just depends.....at least with it 1/3 open it is much better.
