only toadies at Mornington this afternoon

Post by ChrisD » Sat Apr 04, 2015 6:42 pm

Started out this afternoon at black rock. Paid $15.50 to park walked down and could not find anywhere to fish....grrr...so headed to Mornington. 3 hours and nothing other than toadies stealing bait. On the upside no one else seemed to be having any luck either. Just not having any luck with salt water fishing....might be time to get back to chasing some carp locally.......

Bad luck, I've been trying to get some bites for my son but only getting toadies or gurnard. All seems to have gone quiet.

i was planning on fishing at mornington on the weekend....got down there and wasnt worth it at all....shoulder to shoulder everywhere..
someone did catch a little fish while i was there though, looked like an undersized pinky.

Edit:
Is there any info on when the rest of the pier is actually going to open? its been like what...3-4 years since it was open????

Was down there last Thursday on high tide and a lot of undersized pinkies were caught, good fun for the kids. Was also there yesterday between tides, was packed but pretty much dead as a maggot. Saw a handful of pinkies caught and a few couta.
