Mt Martha rocks squid...

Post by Beno » Wed Mar 14, 2012 7:03 pm

G,day guys

Did a quick 1 hour session down at mt martha rocks, was onto one first cast and the action was quick for the first five. Slowed down for half an hour then another three. Only small squid perfect for gummy bait, was using a 1.8 yo-zuri.

Cheers Beno

G'day guys, I'm new to forum and gotta say that i've seen a few youtube's from Beno and i love your work mate. After watching your Gar video i went down to Blairgowrie and had a crack myself. They are everywhere at the moment and i had a ball catching them. In my opinion anyone that says they don't taste good doesn't know how to cook. I just scale and gut them, take the head off, Hot pan with olive oil, little garlic and ginger fried for a couple of mins topped with a little fresh lemon juice and they are magic. No bones to worry about at all.
Anyway mate keep those videos coming, Good stuff.

Cheers mate, I appreciate your support!

I totally agree with you about the garfish being one of the finest eating fish! Love them in batter and deep fried :Dribble:
