Do you reckon the zman slim swimz would work good on the bream there?purple5ive wrote:hahaha i knew someone was going to prove me wrong.

Also would the other species (pinky, flathead, pike) take them?

Re: Balcombe Estuary
As cobby said. Use the 2 inch sizes as the fish arent as big in there.wem21 wrote:Do you reckon the zman slim swimz would work good on the bream there?purple5ive wrote:hahaha i knew someone was going to prove me wrong.

You can also try and cut the slim swimz down in length and use that.
But the 2 inch grubs would be better suited

Re: Balcombe Estuary
There are some blue lips in there. But you're matching the hatch, most of the food is either washed in like worms or insects or is small baitfish around 3-6cm long. If you use big lures they won't touch it in my experiences. SX40s are dynamite as are zipbaits rigge46s. Havent fished it in a fair while though

Re: Balcombe Estuary
I haven't. They should produce the usual pinkies/flatties/pike/couta/salmon/red mullet if they're around.
Just have to keep trying and ultimately keep buying new stuff. All fish have a patten of behavior, every location has it's own idiosyncrasies. Study what you plan on targeting, study the oldest fishing book you can find in a public library, throw in a long trip to the aquarium and just keep trying at your chosen spot/s
