Where are they at?

Post by A-a-ron » Sat Mar 31, 2018 8:58 am

Hey everyone,

Just looking at heading out for some landbased fishing for some yakkas, snook, silver trevally, salmon. Just wondering where the best place would be for some of these fish would be, as I’ll be looking at going out for a gummy session landbased if successful with bait fishing and can’t find too much info on anything bait fish wise other than squid. Was looking at stony point pier, but seen few post saying it’s been mostly blocked off by fencing, is this still correct?

Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Yeah corinella jetty is a great joint when it's not infested with oriental tourists

I have never seen as many yackas off Altona at the minute, catchin them on a Sabiki with a touch of whitebait and getting them 2 or 3 at a time.
Freezing them for Sept.
Sounder is blacked out all through the water column.
