Just keep it in the fridge overnight mate. Will be fresh the next day to use. Have done t many times before np :thumbsup:

Alright cool, i've done that a few times previously where i havent been able to catch on the day but had no luck with it in the session. I did it also with some yakkas that i had in fridge for 2 days, went too mushy...

think one day must be maximum. cheers lightning

The most i keep fish for bait with out freezing them is 12 hours

I went out there 8-2-2:30am and didn’t even get a nibble on fresh salmon and slimies, bloke next to me got a 14kg gummy couple nights back, only had his Trev ripped in half this time, guessing a Schoolie. But then he left at 11pm. Few ppl down there but didn’t see any gummies pulled in.

Two Eagle rays and two Banjos. I really wish I knew what I’m doing wrong. Lots of hours the last two months.

Before I owned a boat I think I did about 20 trips from the beach without a Gummy. Before this I had 5 or 6 trips in a row for one... it happens mate!

Thats just fishing mate.
Even on the boat gummy catch rate it about the same lol
Maybe 1 gummy between 3 of us every 10 trips or so

Yea I reckon it would’ve. He packed up after an hour and a half, reckon he though oh well, getting cold, got a 14kg one at home anyways lol
