a 15 knot wind running against the tide is uncomfortable in my 4.55 quinnie. Well done getting out there in the yak and being successful!4liters wrote:It would've been fishable but only just. Wind was probably about 15 knots, but running against the tide which gives a higher wind over water speed and therefore bigger waves than you might otherwise expect.Lightningx wrote:How rough was it coming back? How many knots would you say it was?

I was going to say the same thing... 15 knots in a yak... Fairly courageous.

Got **** all today, just an eagle ray, a black ray and something unstoppable that went for the horizon before snapping off at the FG knot.
Carl would've loved the surf session in the morning, there were kayaks going upside down all over the place.
