Flinders Pier - 11 June 2015

Post by paulpaciocco » Thu Jun 11, 2015 4:58 pm

G'day all,

So I had the Day off and I thought I would head down to Flinders for a sesh.

Got down there at low tide. Water was like glass with virtually no wind. After countless grass whiting, finally hooked onto this beauty.

Image

Silver Trevally was just shy of 40cm and gave me a great fight. Took him on pippi and squid. After I landed this one it went a bit quiet until this frog hopped along.

Image

He was just shy of 37 cm. A few more casts later with no results saw the end of the day.

All in all a great day to be out :)

Nice mate. Was that you white bucket arriving just on low? I looked from the carpark but didn't bother casting, went to point Leo instead

That's a great looking flatty! I've never seen one with a pattern like that before.

:nicefish:

Sure beats sitting in the office looking out the window to clear blue skies and the trees as still as a scarecrow!
Well done

Thanks mate! No KGW only grassies, I generally don't keep them unless for bait when I take the boat out. I know some people that like them on the plate but not for me haha

Yeah I've noticed that the frogs around WPB and down around rye etc are more of a light colour (southern blue spot) whereas the duskies are generally a darker brown
