Patto Report 15/05/14

Post by KellyKinez » Fri May 16, 2014 12:02 am

G'day guys, long time reader, first time poster.

Been doing a bit of fishing here and there, last 2 years or so, only land based. Still consider myself a bit of a noob though when it comes to fishing and still learning all the in's and out.

Anyway, thought i'd do a quick report for patto as there hasn't been one in a while.

Went there today, was there from about 1pm-5:15pm. Nice day but was to windy. Strong northerly breeze (typhoon).

Didn't catch jack. Pretty much no one did. Was using chicken and prawns, but the fish weren't having a bar of it. Had maybe a 10min period where I had a few nibbles.

The only person I saw catch anything was an old bloke, who was a local, catch a few salmon using lures at the mouth of river when I first got there.

He said it's been pretty quiet there lately.

Went there on the 4/05/14 as well, faired better then. Had bites on chicken and prawns but only managed to catch 1 30cm bream on bread.

It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
