Went down to the Patterson River Saturday night with a mate fishing past the end of the car park in front of construction site.. Got there about 9:30pm and was using chicken, pippi, beach worm and prawn for bait.. Got bites within seconds of bait settling, mainly on chicken. Just could not hook up! Finally landed 1 bream all of about 10cm... After bites died down I hooked into what I can only assume as a fair size mulloway as my light spinning rod was bent almost in half with 6lb braid with 10lb leader.. Unfortunately got snapped off really quickly :-(
My lesson.. Chicken = great bait!!!!
