At mornington you can use lures. I mainly use hard bodies there for salmon. Haven't had much luck with sp;only caught 1 baby whiting and a flathead.

were u casting out to the bay or inside the marina side?

I had success casting out towards the bay and towards the old pier. I only cast towards the marina when squid are around.

seephil: i went with "relax, go fishing" charter. on sat night i went out to mordialloc pier but nothing bites, i used blue baits, shrimps, soft plastic and even hard body. the weather is too cold for me to go out to the sea at the moment. lol.. maybe will go on snapper season.. im planning to go somewhere to fish on this sat morning, is there any place within 2 hours drive from melbourne cbd? doesnt matter what fish. where is my best bet? thanks alot.
