Hi mate, that might be the one reason too, another guy told me the same thing yesterday. I just wondering where to get these maggots. where can I buy it? I would rather not leave a piece of meat out there to flies, which may be a bit disgusting :)

Yea I have been down there a few times and when it's fairly calm I have always seen people targeting gars.
It's good to see some signs of them lately. Even at my local pier the other day while chasing salmons I saw a guy with 22 nice gars :thumbsup:

Tackle shop, not everyone sells them either.

just use silverfish, and cast out and slowly wind it back in they will usually hit a moving bait when they not interetsed in anything else normally.
